Situated in a leafy conservation area of South West London, this elegant Victorian house has a stunning garden of international repute. It is ideally situated within easy access of Central London both by train and bus, both services being within 5 minutes walk of the house.
The house and garden have been featured in magazines worldwide and have been the subject of television programmes both in England and overseas.
Winkle and her husband Philip have lived abroad and travelled extensively. The house, with its eclectic mix of paintings, textiles and objects, reflects these travels.
Alastair Sawday's site describes the Haworths as having 'brought country-house elegance- and the fruits of far- flung travels - to South London'. It adds that 'few people do things with as much natural good humour as Winkle'.
Winkle has a Certificate in Horticulture. She also has a special interest in Garden History for which she holds a Diploma. The garden has won first prize in the English Garden magazine 'Best Town Garden' Competition. Winkle also organises small, private garden tours.
NB: Please note we do get booked up during the Chelsea Flower Show and Hampton Court Show so it is advisable to book several months in advance.
